Description
This is a proof-of-concept skin for Janna, who is one of my favourite characters from League of Legends. It is an idea I had several weeks ago after looking at the reworked splash art for Irelia - most notably Aviator Irelia - and how the theme could expand to other characters. In this case, I chose Janna as she seemed like a logical champion that would fit the "aviation" criteria. She flies as well as controls the wind and therefore I adapted her look to resemble those early, daring barnstormers of the early-mid 20th century. Her staff has been reworked to be essentially a propeller engine-on-a-stick and her attire is closely taken from the pre-existing Aviator Irelia skin, albeit some changes that suit Janna's "bare-bones" look.
This entire piece was designed to be challenging for me as I need to push myself further and harder in order to improve. I have never created something like this digitally with so much detail. And truth be told, it did take much longer than I hoped. But that's another area for me to improve!
Total Time - Approximately 18 hours. (I did it on-and-off for weeks so it was quite hard to judge.)
Tools Used - Photoshop CS5, Wacom Cintiq
